This is a Sanyo TRC-1149 Standard Compact Cassette Voice Recorder Dictaphone. This will work with Standard Compact Cassettes – It will not work with microcassettes or minicassettes. It is often used as a portable handheld voice / audio recorder and playback device as it has an inbuilt microphone and speaker.
