White Sony Walkman WM-22 in excellent condition and in full working order after refurbishment. The Walkman comes with a carry strap but no headphones. A new DeckTech belt has been fitted. Head and capstan and pinch roller have been checked and cleaned. The head has been demagnetised. Mechanism greased and motor oiled. The motor speed has been calibrated. The headphone socket has been replaced. Volume control pot, switch and headphone socket cleaned with Deoxit. Circuit boards checked and cleaned. The play, rewind and fast forward functions are all working perfectly. The fast forward/rewind gear has been fitted with a new, stronger circlip as the original had failed see photos 22 & 23 – this is a common repair issue in this series of Walkmans. Playback quality is very good. The door and rear cover show evidence of minor abrasion. There are some minor surface scratches on the window (see photo 15) and a surface scratch on the to of the rear casing (see and zoom on photo). There is no sign of yellowing to the casing. Please study all the photographs carefully. The battery cover was missing and has been replaced with a secure, good quality 3D printed copy. The battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion. If you intend to use your own set of headphones please note the guidance in photo 24 about the type of 3.5mm jack plug that is suitable for use with this model of Walkman.
