Exhaustive clean of all the belt grooves / guidance to reduce flutter to a minimum. Deep clean of the pinch rollers (change was not required) and soak in rubber conditioner fluid for 24 hours. Cleaning of the potentiometers and switches (including remote) with contact cleaner. Treating the remote & HP cord with rubber / plastic conditioner to regain flexibility and shine. Tape path checked with SONY MC-112C mirror cassette. Speed checked and adjusted TEAC test tape MTT-211NA. Demagnetized with SONY HE-5. Near perfect look and perfect functioning order. Tested several hours with various tape types and brands, working perfectly. Main body EX9 + FX877. RM-WM21EL remote assembly works perfectly on both units. New USB charging unit (universal), can be used at home / car / travel with any USB 5V power adapter (500 & 1000 mA selectable – 500 recommended for the prismatic 7 / 5F6 batteries), auto cut-off when fully charged, all set of protections (reverse polarity / temperature / overcharge / short circuit).
