1981 Sony Walkman WM-3 in very good condition and in full working order after refurbishment and replacement of belts. Both belts have been replaced with new precision DeckTech belts. The play head and capstan have been checked and cleaned. The pinch roller assembly has been replaced. The mains adapter socket has been replaced. The head has been demagnetised. The rubber on the internal drive wheels has been cleaned. The motor has been lubricated. The mechanism has been lubricated. The motor speed has been calibrated. The volume control pot has been cleaned and with Deoxit. The circuit boards have been checked and cleaned. The azimuth has been adjusted. The unit is in very good condition both inside and out. The door, front and rear cover show signs of abrasion but nothing major. There is a small surface scratch on the window (see photo 20) and some small marks near the bottom of the door (see photo 19). Please study all the photographs carefully. The battery compartment and contacts are clean and clear of corrosion, as is the circuitry. The battery cover and opening switch are intact and fully functional. The controls are all functioning and playback quality is very good. The volume control is smooth and not’scratchy’.
