Sony Walkman WM-25 in very condition and in full working order after refurbishment and belt replacement. The Walkman comes with a carry strap but without headphones. New DeckTech belt fitted. Play head, pinch roller and capstan checked and cleaned. Mechanism greased and motor oiled. Volume control pot and switches cleaned with Deoxit. Circuit boards checked and cleaned. The play, rewind and fast forward functions are all working perfectly. The fast forward/rewind gear has been fitted with a new top hat washer and circlip as the original had split (see photos 18 & 19) – this is a common repair issue in this series of Walkmans. Playback quality is very good. The door, window and rear cover show some evidence of abrasion (see and zoom on photos 2 & 4 in particular). There is a noticeable surface scratch on the rear cover (see photo 4). The original battery cover was lost and has been replaced with a well fitting 3D printed copy. Please study all the photographs carefully. If you intend to use your own set of headphones please note the guidance in photo 20 about the type of 3.5mm jack plug that is suitable for use with this model of Walkman.
