SONY WALKMAN WM-609 Cassette Player – Restored – Stunning Black Paint. This SONY WALKMAN WM-609 has been meticulously serviced and restored to its original glory. The exterior has been cleaned and disinfected. The drive belt has been replaced with a high-quality, durable belt. The flywheel V-belt groove has been cleaned and polished. The pinch roller and capstan have been thoroughly cleaned. All gear rotation parts have been relubricated with silicone grease. The head has been mirror-polished and demagnetized using a TEAC E-3 demagnetizer. Wow flutter has been measured and speed adjusted using an ABEX 3KHz -10dB Flutter & Speed TEST TAPE. The take-up torque during playback has been measured. This unit is in excellent working condition, with clear sound and no excessive noise. All functions, including play, stop, fast forward, rewind, and reverse, have been tested for extended periods. The playback speed for both FWD and REV is stable and within acceptable limits. There is no noticeable wow or flutter. All buttons and switches are working properly. The volume control is free of any crackling noise.
