Sony Walkman WM-22 in very good condition and in full working order after refurbishment. The Walkman comes with a carry strap but no headphones. A new DeckTech belt has been fitted. Head, pinch roller and capstan have been checked and cleaned. The head has been demagnetised. Mechanism greased and motor oiled. Volume control pot cleaned with Deoxit. Circuit boards checked and cleaned. The play, rewind and fast forward functions are all working perfectly. The fast forward/rewind gear has been fitted with a new, stronger circlip as the original had failed see photos 23 & 24 – this is a common repair issue in this series of Walkmans. The gear above the clutch had split and has been replaced. Playback quality is excellent. The door and rear cover show evidence of abrasion and minor surface scratches, but there are no major scratches (see photos 3, 4 & 10 in particular). Please study all the photographs carefully and use zoom where necessary. The battery cover was missing and has been replaced with a secure 3D printed copy. The battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion. If you intend to use your own set of headphones please note the guidance in photo 25 about the type of 3.5mm jack plug that is suitable for use with this model of Walkman.
