Some may not know this, but the WM-F5 is the only DD (Disc Drive) Walkman by Sony with radio! That makes it quite unique. Not only does it sound amazing with very low wow and flutter but you can also listen to FM radio if you like. It is also water resistant but I would not advice to swim with it. It is fine in the rain. All holes and openings are sealed with rubber. This particular DD Walkman is harder to fix than your regular DD, DDII, DDIII DD30, DD33 or even the D3. It has much more switches to keep an eye on and more parts to remove. The antenna is soldered to the body so you also need to desolder it. I have replaced the center gear with a factory like gear. The disc drive rubber was also replaced. I have serviced many parts with oil and grease and cleaned the inside. The outside looks very good. Only minor scratches which is typical with these Walkmans.
