Sony’s flagship model of Walkman, the WM-DDII. This specimen plays nicely tapes as it provides. Nice sound quality in stereo. PLAY, FF and REW work well. Only problem is that the door doesn’t get locked because the replacement door hinge is not exactly at the right place. There’s also three holes left from the previous door hinge fix. Otherwise it’s in very nice visual condition. There isn’t battery lid. Service what I have done to it. General cleaning of the interior and exterior. Cleaned the tape head and pinch roller. Cleaned the volume potentiometer, the tape type and dolby switch. Cleaned and greased the mechanics. Replaced with a new center gear. Replaced with a new capstan rubber ring.
