Automatic tape type selection. Equipped with DBB two steps sound modes. AVLS – automatic volume limiter system. A/B indication on the display & remote (much useful than FWD and REW) due to screw hole detection sensor. The unit is refurbished meaning complete disassembly, deep cleaning of all components and chassis. New oil for all plastic to metal & metal to metal friction points (capstans, gears, motor). Removed the old black grease and replaced it with high quality grease for all mechanical elements of the mechanism. New rubber belt fitted. Pinch roller deep clean, soak in rubber conditioner fluid for 24 hours (change was not required). Exhaustive clean of all the belt grooves / guidance to reduce flutter to a minimum. Cleaning of the potentiometers and switches (including remote) with contact cleaner. Treating the remote & headphones cord with rubber / plastic conditioner to regain flexibility and shine. Tape path checked with SONY MC-112C mirror cassette. Speed checked and adjusted TEAC test tape MTT-211NA. Demagnetized with SONY HE-3. Almost perfect look (aside the few signs visible in the macro-shot pictures) and perfect functioning order. Tested several hours with various tape types and brands, working perfectly.
