Head, pinch roller and capstan have been checked and cleaned. The head has been demagnetised. Mechanism lubricated and motor oiled. Volume control pot cleaned with Deoxit. Circuit boards checked and cleaned. The play, rewind and fast forward functions are all working perfectly. The fast forward/rewind gear has been fitted with a new top hat washer and circlip as the original had split (see photos 23 & 24) – this is a common repair issue in this series of Walkmans. Playback quality is very good (watch and listen to the video). The Walkman is in very good condition. The door and rear cover show evidence of minor abrasion and there are a few minor scuffs (see and zoom on photo 4, 5 & 11). Please study all the photographs carefully using zoom to see finer details. The battery cover is intact and fully functional. The foam cushion on the inside of the cover had degraded and has been replaced. The battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion.
