1981 Sony Walkman WM-2 in very good condition and in full working order after refurbishment and replacement of belts. The unit comes with its original Sony MDR-4 headphones with mute button. The Walkman also comes with the original carry cradle and carry strap. The belt has been replaced with a new precision DeckTech belt. The play head, pinch roller and capstan have been checked and cleaned. The head has been demagnetised. The rubber on the internal drive wheels has been cleaned. The mechanism has been cleaned and lubricated. The motor speed has been calibrated. The volume control pot has been cleaned and with Deoxit. The circuit boards have been checked and cleaned. The azimuth has been adjusted. The headphones have been thoroughly cleaned. The unit is in very good condition both inside and out. There are minor scratches and abrasions on the door and window (see in particular photos 5 & 11). There are several surface scratches on the control side (see in particular photos 3,6 & 7). Please study all the photographs carefully and zoom for finer detail. The battery compartment and contacts are clean and clear of corrosion, as is the circuitry.
