Cassette tape is making a comeback. Nothing like the big deep bass of analog signal. Unit has for connection on back of unit a 5 pin din male output to connect external Amps to the unit. And 8 pin din female input for an EQ or other devices to loop together different units a CD player. The unit is pre power, or switch to internal powered amp with power output 2 channel speaker output. Has music sensor for stopping on each song while listening to cassette tape. Dolby NR and Metal tape feature Alpine 7272 has a Luxman display readout with built in clock. Killer pre amp section even for blows away the quality of todays sound quality. Only a few brands can keep going decade after decade. And 35 years later it still functions and good for decades more. And low THD % total harmonic distortion for super clean sound reproduction. Unit was re capped, solder joints ic, drive belt, tape mechanism gone over with gear section and lubed.. Some illumination bulbs replaced, face cleaned and. Re done foam behind the buttons replaced. You are looking at Pioneer KP-5500 SDK, beautiful and rare vintage shaft-style radio and cassette deck. Made in Japan, dates back from the early 80’s, will blend in nicely in many classic car of that era. Standard single DIN size. As shown in the images, the front face is in excellent cosmetic condition. Complete, with faceplate, knobs and rings, beautifully preserved despite its age! The faceplate is not original, but it is universal, in great shape and fully compatible with the model. This old school unit has been serviced. Tuner works perfectly, with high sensitivity, as well as station presets (pull out the knob on desired frequency than put it back inside). Cassette player also works, which is usually not the case. Fully illuminated – exactly as pictured. Tuner works perfectly, with high sensitivity. 2 speakers channels – sounds very clear and powerful! With wiring harness – power and speakers plugs. All of the photos are original! Due to global crisis and the current situation in air traffic, I can send the parcels to some countries only with DHL express, which is quite fast but also quite expensive service.
