Cassette deck, Sony TC-WR545, refurbished and in working condition (circa 1995), From Japan. This is a fully serviced and working Sony TC-WR545 cassette deck. Frequency Response: 30Hz-18kHz (Metal). S/N Ratio: 57dB (Dolby OFF). Wow and Flutter: 0.08% WRMS. 430 × 123 × 290 mm. Weight: 4.5 kg. The following parts were replaced for this listing. Replacement of all four belts in both decks (2 flat belts, 2 square belts). Replacement of all four pinch rollers. Replacement of 2 reel gears. Main circuit board soldering. Internal cleaning and resoldering of the capstan and other parts of the circuit board were performed. Speed?? adjusted using specialized equipment. Basic functions such as playback, recording (B deck), fast forward, rewind, auto reverse, and full auto shutoff are OK. External input recording and playback test: OK. Blue Sony Walkman WM-22 in very good condition and in full working order after refurbishment. The Walkman comes with a carry strap but no headphones. A new DeckTech belt has been fitted. Head and capstan have been checked and cleaned. The head has been demagnetised. Mechanism lubricated and motor oiled. Volume control pot cleaned with Deoxit. Circuit boards checked and cleaned. The play, rewind and fast forward functions are all working perfectly. The fast forward/rewind gear has been fitted with a new top hat washer and circlip as the original had split (see photos 23 & 24) – this is a common repair issue in this series of Walkmans. Playback quality is very good (watch and listen to the video). The door and rear cover show evidence of abrasion. There is some crazing visible at some angles on the window (see and zoom on photos 9 & 12). There are several faint surface scratches on the rear cover (see photo 17 in particular). Please study all the photographs carefully using zoom to see finer details. The battery cover was missing and has been replaced with a well-fitting 3D printed copy. The battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion.
