Brand new belts installed and cleaned up but honestly it was pretty clean inside to start with. Both sides play as they should. Overall condition is great but has some scratches on top right side other than that nothing els to note.

The original drive belt had deteriorated, and age-related contamination and oxidation affected the transport, tape path, controls, and switches. A full inspection of the front-loading transport, drive belt, capstan, pinch roller, idlers, three-head assembly, motor speed stability, record/playback circuitry, switches, controls, VU meters, indicators, and tape path was carried out to determine the work required for this specific unit. Based on the inspection results, this Marantz 5030B was restored according to HQaudios’ technical standards while preserving its original engineering and operating characteristics. The deteriorated original drive belt was replaced with a new belt, and tape speed was checked and adjusted. Transport linkages were cleaned and re-lubricated to restore smooth mechanical operation. The record, playback, and erase heads, along with the tape path, were thoroughly cleaned, and the heads were demagnetized. Switches and controls were cleaned and treated with contact cleaner to remove oxidation and restore reliable operation. Indicator and display illumination was inspected and serviced as required.
