Blue Sony Walkman WM-30. Surely the prettiest machine Sony ever produced – isn’t this Blue WM-30 absolutely stunning! The classic Walkman, the one that everyone wants and there’s no better example of a WM-30 than this – it’s absolutely stunning and plays as good as the day it was new! Unlike everyone else out there I price my Walkman’s fairly – I just need to get my slice of the pie – this is priced to sell quickly and cheaper that the other Refurbished WM-30’s on. As with all my refurbished Walkmans you don’t have to take my work for how good they sound because I provide you with a video so you can hear for yourself. I’m not a professional sound engineer – I feed the output from the walkman into the mic input on my Canon DSLR. These are complex analogue machines in a digital world – the old belt residue must be completely and meticulously removed – otherwise the new belt will wobble causing wow and flutter. In absolutely stunning, almost pristine condition. Mechanically the belt had turned to goo so the old belt residue has been meticulously cleaned and a new belt installed – the head, roller and capstan have been cleaned – so it now plays perfectly, in stereo, at the right speed with no wow or flutter, it rewinds and fast-forwards exactly as it should. The volume potentiometer has been cleaned so the volume adjusts smoothly without crackle or dropout. It still has the battery cover and the battery terminals are corrosion free. I have 10 years experience refurbishing 100’s of Walkmans! You get what you pay for – there won’t be any disappointment when it arrives – it will work as described! If it IS as described and you change your mind – relist it yourself and feel free to reuse my Listing, Pictures and Video Link – you’ll probably make a profit! And really hard to get in this nice a condition – the radio dial is usually badly scratched – this is genuinely the nicest condition F20 I’ve ever had and is complete and working perfectly. These WM-20’s and 30’s often suffer from cracked gears – this one has 2 intact gears and should be good for the next 40 years! A fantastic electric blue Sony Walkman WM-9 Stereo Cassette Player From the 1980s. This has been fully serviced and cleaned it has also had new belts fitted and is now in full working order.
