Walkman is in a VERY GOOD CONDITION , ALMOST NO SIGNS OF WEAR- (SEE PHOTOS) otherwise in a perfect functional condition , very silent and smooth running , no clicking or funny noises. The central gear, which is broken on ALL Sony DD series with this mechanism, is professionally restored with ORIGINAL PLASTIC, NO MORE CLICKING. Battery compartment is clean, no corrosion or oxide. Everything has been cleaned, lubed, head is perfect. All of my Walkmans are in top condition, fully restored and tested, you can check my feedbacks. I have spent a lot of time of trial and error and I have developed the best way to repair this problem. If something bigger is broken it will be added to the price. WM-D3 is more complex and in 99% the counter/reel gear is also broken. The indicator of broken counter/reel gear is not working REVERSE function. If you can`t rewind the tape, but the motor is running that means the counter/reel gear is cracked and it slips on the axle. The service of WM-D3 will include : – Standard DD repair service – Repairing the counter/reel gear. The gear will also be enforced with brass ring, which makes it quite bulletproof.
